The wonderful double-overtime victory over Michigan State this weekend marked Kirk Ferentz’ 100th victory as head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes!  That’s a tremendous accomplishment.  In honor of Ferentz’ 100th win at Iowa, it seems appropriate to take a look back at some of his greatest coaching victories. Bo Porter

On Thursday, the Houston Astros named former Hawkeye standout Bo Porter as their new manager beginning with the 2013 season.  It’s a tremendous opportunity for Porter, who has now reached the pinnacle of the baseball coaching profession! Bo Porter Marquis “Bo” Porter earned All-State honors in football, basketball, and baseball at Weequahis High School in New Jersey.  He came to the University of Iowa with the intention of playing both football and baseball, and Porter excelled in both sports.
